The University of Pittsburgh welcomes Academic Visitors from throughout the world to conduct research and other scholarly activities on its campus.
Hosting Academic Visitors
Departments and schools that host Academic Visitors must complete the relevant visit-related procedures so that a Visitor can be hosted appropriately. Academic Visitors must be hosted on campus and meet all eligibility requirements. The University recently announced some relevant changes to visit-related procedures which appear in a July 14, 2025 letter to the community.
